Our History

Kalous HR Consulting was formed in 2007 by Alisha Kalous after a recognized need to provide business owners with a strategic partner for their HR business strategies. After over 12 successful years in the hospitality and service related industries, Alisha has decided to focus on building relationships and enhancing HR business processes that deliver results.

Alisha's career began in operations management in the hospitality industry and grew into a passion for associates, hospitality and human resources. Alisha's career has allowed her to work for some of the leading, most highly recognized hospitality organizations in the country including the Marcus Corporation, Interstate Hotels & Resorts and the Global Hyatt Organization. Areas of specialization include: recruitment/retention, college relations, associate relations, compensation, HR/customer service/management training, labor relations, unemployment, EEOC complaints, benefits, professional development and general employment law. Alisha's active involvement in the human resources and business communities allows her to stay on the cutting edge of technology, best practices and employment law. Alisha has experienced start-up organizations, acquisitions and divestitures during her career and has the knowledge to assist organizations no matter what stage they may be in. Alisha has a B.S. in Business Leadership and a minor in Communication. Alisha has also earned her Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2004 and was recertified in 2007 based upon her continuing HR education and experience.
